So, I was at one of the pipe/cigar stores here in Gothenburg, Sweden yesterday, which is one of the two stores here that sells the Islay Whisky snus, and I heard something very interesting.

10-12th of April we have a beer and whiskey convention here, and the store will be there and will announce a Islay Whisky Lös snus.

Yes... you read it right. Our fantastic Islay Whisky snus will be available in loose format!

Apparently, if I understood it correctly, they will after the announcement on the convention, start selling it from the store. The lös snus will come fresh in a whisky barrel, so you will get an empty can which they will fill up for you straight from the barrel. How amazing is that?

I have no idea if it will be available outside of Sweden, but lets just hope!

I haven't had the time to visit the store, but a friend is there quite frequently and has been asking about updates for this every time. It looks like it's still gonna be a while. I have no idea why there's a delay, but as soon as I get any information I will share it with you guys.

the later batches are much more moist, taste way better.

6 was a great batch.
I just got some batch 13 which I haven't tried yet.
I actually have a portion of batch 6 in right now.
Conny is the man and the snus is amazing.

I haven't opened those yet either.  I finished the early batches and have been in those second batches lately, which are delicious.

I can't wait for this loose. 

Ok so after customs held my snus for a week I got my islay. It is batch 14. Absolutely nice and moist. Just how I like it. Very very nice balance of smoke and whiskey, they meld together as a single flavor. Oh this stuff is soooo good. If we were in a snus bar I would buy rounds of islay whiskey on me!

Any news yet as to when islay whisky loose will be available?

The loose I'm not sure about but I would love some right about now. 😳
