Now you can recycle your box in our own snuff shops! "Panta Dosan" (recyckle the box) is a pilot project in which Swedish Match collaborates with the Keep Sweden Clean Foundation.  Sweden on test.

Every mint is different. And some labeled mint are spearmint and some are peppermint. There is so many mint snus that there is going to be a huge variation between them.

To quote Swedish Match, not all snus are created equal.

I have never been huge on the mint flavours.
There's a boatload of different brands and different products within the brands.
Each persons palette is different. I would suggest you simply try around to get the feel of what you want.

I myself don't just use one product, I switch around depending on the mood i'm in or what i'm craving.

Hello and welcome!

Even if your tale is a common one, it warms my Swedish heart to hear it.
I'm glad you enjoyed it and that you are now free from cigarettes.
General Discussion / Jakobssons Mint taste issue?

So been a big fan of Jakobssons Melon Strong and decided to try the Mint.  Not sure if I got a bad batch or what, but as soon as I put it in my mouth I get a medicine kind of flavor. Not very pleasant. Sort of subsides after "letting the flavor develop" but is this how any of you taste it? General Mint is my default and most other mints I have tried do have this medicine kind of taste to them. Kind of got the same taste from Catch XR Mint...thoughts?

Greetings and salutations!

I'm sure mine is a common tale.

I was a smoker for almost 15 years...2 packs a day at my peak.  Finally decided to give it up FOR GOOD as I was starting to get nauseous and queasy and lightheaded every time I would smoke a cigarette.  After 3 days, I was almost home free...the cravings usually go away after about 3 days...but I couldn't take it.

I'M ADDICTED TO NICOTINE.  Plus, at the time I was jockeying the register at some local convenience store, surrounded by tobacco products.  I gazed at the bright colors of the Skoal and Copenhagen dip cans, able to smell sweet tobacco...but I had tried dip before and had not enjoyed it.  What the heck was this SNUS stuff, though?  Isn't it just dip in a pouch?  I had no idea of the immense rabbit hole I was about to dive into.  The store empty, I immediately starting researching snus.  After reading as much as I could and answering as many questions I could think of in my sometimes empty feeling head, I realized the tiny refrigerator we kept by the cigars was holding what I could only surmise was my ticket out of cigarette town.

General Swedish Snus.  I tried a can of each, all white portions.  Original, mint, and wintergreen.  I was hooked.  The price cut alone was worth the switch, but also the decrease in health risk and the taste...oh yeah, that addition to being able to grab a nic fix anytime, anywhere, and without having to stop what I'm doing?  Nice.

TL;DR I used to smoke, now I snus. I like it a lot.
Tips & Tricks / Cheap prismaster/icetool

A cheap way to get a icetool/prismaster.

1. Get your hands on a plastic baby syringe, in Sweden you can get them for free at your local drugstore, if you just ask for them.
I don't know how other countries distribute them, but there are many sellers on sites like ebay who are selling these for cheap (a handful for a few bucks).
These also come in a variety of sizes, pick the size you want - I usually go for the smaller ones since you can just draw out the syringe to the amount of snus you'd like.

2. Next you want to get a knife and chop off the top part of the plastic syringe.

3. If you get sharp edges, you can round the tip with the knife to get rid of this. I usually don't do this.

4. Get some loose snus of your liking.

5. Draw the amount of snus you'd like and start packing.

6. Insert syringe under your lip where you want it, push out and enjoy life!

It's also easy to clean.

Living in Lund, Sweden. Im currently on my 21st year of using snus and I even have the blessing of having a Swedish Match store in Lund.

I found this site while randomly clicking on youtube and found some guy reviewing snus, which I enjoyed to watch even tho I have using it myself for a long time.
Awesome to see that snus is on the upswing in the US.

Im not that good at introductions, so feel free to ask questions :)
